Emiliano has a passion for fighting against the rise in adult and child obesity rates and improving the health of New York City communities. He has provided workshops and presentations for groups such as the NYC Nutrition Network, the Partnership for Afterschool Education, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC, the Family Center, Harlem Children's Zone and the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office. Stacey Patti, MEd
For over nine years, Stacey Patti has dedicated herself to the field
of health and wellness. In her first teaching position as a teacher
at a private school, the Birch Wathen and Lenox School, she taught
health/physical education and coached both basketball and tennis teams. During
this time, Ms. Patti also earned a Master's Degree in Health Education from
NYU.
After several years at private school, she decided to join the teaching staff of a small, experimental charter school in Brooklyn. There she worked to establish programming and structure in the school's first year. She had then taken a break from teaching and worked as the program/sports director at the Dodge YMCA, also in Brooklyn. Ultimately, her heart lies in educating youth and teens and she is now working at Brooklyn Technical High School as a health instructor. Stacey Patti is dedicated to youth and teen fitness, conditioning, health and wellness.
Erika Ichinose, MS, RD
Erika
is a Registered Dietitian working to improve the health and well-being of New
York City individuals and communities. Erika currently travels throughout the
New York City area to meet with her busy clients in the comfort of their office
or home environments. She provides nutrition counseling services that are personalized
to the individual. She works with men, women and children - with a particular
emphasis on weight management, cholesterol control, women's health issues, family
nutrition, executive health, and general nutrition.
Erika is skilled in facilitating group and individual workshops using research-based information and a hands-on, interactive, dialogue-based approach to teaching and counseling. Her expertise lies in educating and counseling individuals on health and nutrition concerns and translating complex health concepts into easy-to-understand terms and achievable goals.
Erika is the Program Associate for Nutrition and Health Programs for Cornell University Cooperative Extension-New York City, where she plans and presents nutrition education workshops, writes nutrition-based newsletters, creates health education materials, coordinates research studies, and manages nutrition education and cooking demonstrations at New York City farmers' markets as part of the Farmers' Market Nutrition Program. She takes a well-rounded approach to health and enjoys managing the Worksite Wellness Program at her agency.
Erika is also an adjunct professor of nutrition at LaGuardia Community College. She takes pleasure in enriching students' knowledge of nutrition & health and inspiring them to make healthy behavior changes.
Erika received her Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences-Dietetics from Cornell University, and her Master's degree in Nutrition Education from Columbia University. She completed her 11-month Dietetic Internship through Columbia University and various sites in New York City.
Passionate about wellness and living a healthy lifestyle, Erika balances the demands of her nutrition work by “de-stressing” through healthy baking, cooking, and staying fit by cardio kick-boxing and exercising at her local gym. Erika enjoys shopping at the local farmers' markets and experimenting in the kitchen to create healthy dishes. She loves eating broccoli and kale, but just because she is a dietitian does not mean her eating and food choices are perfect—she indulges in chocolate from time to time.
